Easter 3/31

Today we observed Easter. The day set aside for the celebration of the fact Christ was raised from the tomb. We had lunch at Granny Carolyn's and later I installed your new basketball goal.

We started the day with a breakfast at Church.  It was the first time we had done a breakfast before a service.  We all had a good time.

So we set off hiking the trail "Rainbow Falls" in weather that was probably not suitable to hike.  I honestly thought that we would start and that we would go for about an hour and then one of us would give up.  We were in a Winter Storm Warning after all.  However, we are both stubborn and we made it.  I took roughly 6 hours to make it and I honestly thought at one point, around 6.2 miles, that I was not going too.  Our water had frozen in our packs and I was dehydrated.  When we made it to the cabin we were greeted with hot chocolate or coffee, even you said it was the best thing on earth.  We had a great supper and time of fellowship with the campers.  That night the cabin we stayed it had snow blowing through the windows, the floor stayed frozen, the bottom bunk was frigid and we sweat on the top bunk.  We awoke to about 18 inches of snow!  Breakfast was delicious. We put you in the lead and you led us down the mountain in about 3 hours.  You were such a trooper.  This is one trip I hope you never forget.
