Washington Trip Day #2

Today we arrived in Pennsylvania to begin our fun filled day at Hersey Park.  We saw the old Hersey Orphanage, we got a tour of Chocolate World at Hersey Park we rode some amazing rides!  The Comet, Fahrenheit, Sidewinder, Skyrush, Sooperdooperlooper, Trailblazer, and wildcat just to name a few.

Washington day

We began our trip early we were trying to get through Knoxville before the Tennessee game traffic. We were successful. Our first major stop was the Virgina State rest area. It was very nice and contained some interesting history and beautiful scenery. You slept so good on the way. I could tell this was going to be a good trip. You made several friends with my students already. I was relieved.

Tonight Connor got to show me some games and science labs they have been doing in class with AMSTI.  We both really enjoyed ourselves and had a blast.

Pumpkin patch

Today I went to Isbell's farm with you and your class. This was the first opportunity I have had to go with you on a field trip to a pumpkin patch. We had a good time picking out pumpkins with your friends going through the maze and petting the animals.

Bowling Ninjas

We had a blast of a party today.  We celebrated your 8th birthday at Lauderdale Lanes.  You wanted a Ninja Bowling part.  I think we delivered.  Everyone seemed to enjoy the part.  It was probably the least amount of prep work of any of the parties you have had.

Happy Birthday Connor!

I had gotten you a bow and arrow for your birthday because you had become interested in it while watching the London 2012 Olympics.  You were already getting a fairly good grouping by the end of the weekend.  Lolo and you attempted to make Ninja cookies, that's about all that can be said.

David, Beth and Alex got me an awesome bike for my birthday. We went to several stores to pick it out.

Here Comes the Bride

Today we joined Julianna and Chris Blackburn while they exchanged their vows of marriage.  We had all made the journey to Ft. Morgan Beach and enjoyed a few days in the sun prior to the wedding.  A good time was had by all.  Carson stepped on a piece of trash and gashed his foot open though and cut the pictures short.
