Overton's Farm

We had a fantastic youth camp at Overton's farms.  We had close to 70 people from the church come and spend the night.  We watched a movie outside then had testimony and praise by the fire.  We had a few issues with the microwave...meaning it didn't work, so popcorn was challenging.  You got up at some point in the night and followed Dr. Ray outside, he said it was so funny.  The next day they had several activities for you planned.  You had archery, low rope obstacle course, rock climbing and high rope/zip line.  You really did not want to do the high rope obstacle course but you wanted to zip line more instead.  You did a great job and had a lot of fun in the process.

McBride Here I come!

Today is the first day of 3rd Grade.  I get to change schools again and all my friends from kindergarten will be in the same building!  I am very excited.  I have Ms. Elliott for a teacher.

We went on our first cruise after your competition.  Uncle David, Aunt Lolo, you and I left Tampa for Port Canveral on Thursday morning.  We arrived at the port close to 1 and was quickly on the ship.  We all instantly fell in love with it.

Universal Studious

So, Uncle David, Aunt Lolo, you and I left Tampa for a night to go to Universal Studious for a little adventure.  We wanted to go ride the rides and visit Hogsmede.  It was hot and busy but we all had a great time.  We stayed at the Hard Rock Hotel and rode the ferries into the park.

Competition

Today is the day that brought us to Tampa.  You competed admirably in the 2nd Grade Bible Memorization.  We all were so proud of you.  You said your words clearly and without prompting.  I was extremely impressed with your poise. 

Tampa

Tired!  I drove through the night to get us to Tampa.  Home of the National Youth Competition for the Free Will Baptist Association.  This afternoon we walked around the hotel area and Channel Side.  We found a few interesting places to take picures.  I am nervous for you tomorrow.  You are as cool as a cucumber. 

The Catch

What a catch!  Today while fishing we caught a huge catfish.  It was so amazing that we actually got this fish in.  You had to use the net to get it in the boat.  You were so excited we had to go straight back to the cabin and clean the fish that night!  It was the first time in probably 2 decades that I had cleaned a fish.  We cleaned two catfish and a bass.  It was more fun than I thought.
